WEEK 66 WHAT WE'RE LISTENING TO
Morning honey bunches,
It's a lovely moody, fresh morning as I write to you all. Grey clouds, sun shining through a break in them, rain gently falling, the air fresh, and yes baby magpie crying chasing its parent for some food, family sleeping! O Sunday mornings!
How are we all coming out of our Great Pause? Over the weekend I have noticed such comraderie, with people we know and between strangers. It's quite unique to be sharing a common situation. Different experiences but a common situation. There is gratitude, joy, and a very healthy awareness of wanting to maintain the gifts of the Great Pause.
It's a time ripe for creation. Creating our moments, days, weeks, relationships, work, our whole life. This is a potent shift I have felt from feeling like I was dealing with what life was giving out and to now, I have the freedom to create anything in this moment. HUGE! Life is unpredictable, we have experienced this first hand together, we have felt our collective connections sharing the same situation, AND we have our individual freedom with what we create from this. The Gift as Edith Eger has us search for and the question Victor Frankl asks " What is life asking me?'
What a pleasure it feels to be creative. Bringing creativity into the mundane, Creativity into problem-solving. Creativity into my whole day, moment by moment
FILL GOOD'S CREATIVE FINDS THIS WEEK
It's been a sweet and productive week. Lots of new products have come through, we took a sneaky day off and hit the beach(the ultimate celebration of losing the 25km rule:), and lots of happy packing of orders. Life is sweet. Anyways as we have been merrily packing I have listened to such gold that I just felt I would love to share with you. Let the good vibes ripple out!
TREE SISTER PANEL
From the beginning of this talk, I felt it deep in my bones how special it is. I am pausing and reflecting as I listen as there is so much to let soak in. I'm halfway through my second listen. My whole body and mind peaked with this panel of scientists, doctors, activists, and CEOs who share such compassion and intelligence as they do their work in our modern world while being deeply guided with their higher and intuitive wisdom. JOOST BAKKER FUTURE FOOD SYSTEM HOME
Local legend Joost Bakker takes us through his, in progress, no waste, completely self-sustainable house. This house can power its self and feed its inhabitants with zero waste and completely self sustainably. This home needs its inhabitants to live within in so it will continue to be self-sustaining. It has its own ecosystem of Biogas, mushroom walls fed by the shower steam, rooftop aquaponics, a freshwater pool cleaned with copper and an electric current with no chlorine or salt, cooled floors for the summer and so much more. He is building it at FED Square where 2 local to the Yarra valley chefs Matt Stone and Joe Barret will live in this home for 6 months before it is taken back to Joost's property in Monbulk for his mum to move into. GURRUMUL
After such heady and soul-stirring talks, I felt to weave in some music with sweet earthy ambiance. Gurrumul. He is an Indigenous Australian musician and his music I find to be a fusion of the music of his culture mixed with our modern harmonic style. Gurrumul's music and voice is magic itself.
